Soft neutrals photograph the best for even skin tones. Ivory, champagne, muted blues/greens/soft pinks are wonderful!
Solid fabrics are great! Avoid small patterns (especially small stripes and checkered patterns).
You don't have to *match*, just be aware of how the clothing of everyone coordinates together.
frequently asked questions
+ Where should we do a portrait session?
I offer portrait sessions within a 50 mile radius of DC and in my natural light studio in my home. The studio is great for maternity, newborn photos, and one year milestone photos. I recommend full family sessions done outdoors or in your home!
+ When can we schedule a session?
Sessions are offered on weekdays. I offer studio sessions after the sun has been up for an hour because the light is best in the morning. For outdoor sessions, we can plan to meet one hour after the sun has been up, or two hours before it sets.
+ How will I receive my images? What is the turnaround time?
You will receive your full resolution images on an online gallery within 3 weeks.
